A story of a man who spent days on the Internet to find his perfect partner. This man is obviously the writer of this article. I just thought I will share the story of my love with you. How I got from online dating to now planning romantic getaways with my wife.
It all started in 2007 when there was a whole lot of social networking and online dating sites introduced to the World of Internet. Facebook was making its mark in UK whereas I was into Internet and learning to build my own personal Website. I was recently single and was a bit depressed on my recent love loss. While browsing the net one day I found this dating site so I decided to give it a go and register on it. Later after creating my profile I started to browse the website and check if I can find anything. First few days I browsed to see what kind of people I can find there, who matches the best with my likings but then I started getting bored and stopped going on it.
Then one day I got an email from the dating site saying I have received a message from someone who is interested in me. I replied back and we kept in touch via email for next few months. Then all of a sudden one day my ancient pc broke down and I wasn’t able to email her for few weeks, it just had to happen didn’t it. Also that time my work decided to send me for a business trip to Italy for another few weeks.
After returning I fixed my computer, then I logged in to the dating site to see whether the girl has send me any messages. I had no message from her and on top of that she cancelled her profile. I was totally gutted because she was cute, intelligent and beautiful.
Then it was summer time the day of my Birthday. I planned a barbecue party with my mates, I was about put the first meat on to the barbecue I heard the door bell ring. I went to open the door and there was a delivery man with a package in his hands. He checked my details and told me the package was mine. I was curious who sent it so I opened it all and what a Birthday Present I received. The package was sent from the girl who I used to chat to on that dating site. I completely forgot that I gave her my Website address in which it had my personal details. The gift also contained a little note with her name and number. This is all I needed and now we are married and planning a romantic weekend away to Spain. Weekend away for couples to India.
